Halbertcicles?

My first experience with ice spikes—Halbertcicles, if you will—occurred in the late 1980’s, when I moved to Boulder, CO to study The Urantia Book. They grew infrequently and never reached more than an inch, best as I can recall. In the mid to late 1990’s, they appeared a little more often. My young son, Jaron, and I enjoyed them; I have photographs that go as far back as 1997. Then, during a period of separation, they did not grow for about five years. When he came back into my life, I prayed to Jesus for a sign to support this development. In 2004, on the second try, they started growing with great frequency and considerably larger.

The peculiarities of this experience seem to have helped prepare me for my UBtheNEWS work, which, similarly, raises questions about the interplay between the material and spiritual realms. The Halbertcicles started to grow more frequently and with greater variation when the UBtheNEWS project got started a few years later.

What you see here is just the tip of the iceberg, so to say.
